The jewel of Zanzibar can be found off the coast of East Africa, as a semi-autonomous archipelago of Tanzania. Nestled in the Indian Ocean, Zanzibar is an explosion of spices, scents, colours and culture, and with palm tree-peppered beaches, sizzling summers cooled by soft sea breezes and a historical capital city with unique architecture dotted throughout the streets, it is a pure paradise of an island.
Zanzibar is known for its dhows which dot the blue seas, as well as its vast array of spices and white sands. Made up of a collection of small islands and two large – Unguja and Pemba – taking a traditional dhow to explore what the archipelago has to offer is a great way to soak up the essence of Zanzibar.
In Zanzibar there are, due to shallow waters and rugged coastline, significant tides; therefore, we have a large swimming pool and the hotel limousine takes guests to places where there is more water at the moment.
