A trip to Stone Town includes a visit to the House of Wonders, the House of Dr. Livingstone, slave market, cathedral and much more. Undoubtedly the best way to enjoy Stone Town is to get lost for a little while in its narrow aisles, where you will find typical local shops and old houses.
Zanzibar is also known as the Spice Island. The plantations are located near the capital of Stone Town and a visit is recommended for anyone who wants to buy some spices and get familiar with how these spices are grown. On the plantation, you can see cloves, nutmegs, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, vanilla, etc.
Safari Blue offers an unforgetable day spent relaxing, swimming in the sea and sunbathing. Safari Blue is one of the most beautiful outings you can experience in Zanzibar. First, we go to the beautiful Bay Fumba in the west of the island, from where we sail boat to a typical part of sandbanks right in the middle of the sea, which is created by the low-tide. Snorkeling is never disappointing here thanks to the spectacular coral cliffs to be found throughout the area. After snorkeling we sail for the island of Kwale, where lunch will be served including fish, lobsters, shrimps, calamaris, octopuses, served with rice or fries. As a dessert tropical fruits are served. After lunch we walk to a huge baobab tree and then continue to a beautiful lagoon with mangroves, where you can dive.
Safari Game Drive (Tanzania’s Mainland)
Our game drives are tailor made according to our guest wishes, interests, preferences and time schedule. Our special Safari Vehicles are converted 4×4 Land Cruisers or Landrovers, and ensure comfort, rellability and safety during the game viewing activity. Selous is perhaps the best reserve in the world for viewing so many animals, birds and nature. Our game drives are always with a fully trained in-house driver and guide.
Boat Safari (Tanzania’s Mainland)
Boating on the Rufiji river is a new experience, watching the crocodiles, hippos and many other animals. Fishing is permitted and there are plenty of Tiger and Cat Fish to catch.
Walk Safari (Tanzania’s Mainland)
There is no better way to get up close and personal to the wild Africa than on a walking Safari. Accompanied by an experienced guide, learn about the flora and fauna, and many other little things that will help you understand the ways of the indigenous peoples that live and survive in the area. It is a great feeling to know that you are treading on the tracks of the wild animals that might have walked on the same path just minutes before you.
Village Tour (Tanzania’s Mainland)
Mloka village is near our Camp, and here we will show you how local life is. e villagers are friendly and will make you very welcome. Our guide will show you how the locals live, go to school, the market and much more. You will love it. (don’t forget to bring some books, pens or sweets for the children with you)
Air Safari (Tanzania’s Mainland)
On the departure flight, our pilot will cross over the rivers and you will see from low altitude the real beauty of Selous. You will now see the wildlife from a different perspective. This is a very special and unique experience. Afterwards, we will fly you back to Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam.
In the north of the island we find Nungwi, a beautiful fishing village where a local nature reserve for turtles has been created. Here they care for injured turtles and feed them before they are put back into the sea. You can feed the turtles and even swim with them. Then you can watch the sunset.
Dolphin Tour & Jozani Forest
On the southern part of the island of Zanzibar it is easy to catch up with a group of dolphins in the wild. You can easily observe and photograph dolphins from a boat or make an attempt at an amazing experience trying to swim with them. The Jozani Forest is a protected natural area where you can encounter the most diverse and beautiful plants in Zanzibar.
By boat to Nakupenda, a small island that forms at a low tide, surrounded by clear water where you can enjoy snorkeling and the multi-coloured sea stars. Upon arrival your guide will pitch a tent to protect you from the sun. While the fishermen are cooking fish, octopuses, lobsters, calamaris, shrimps, potatoes and fresh fruits, you can swim in the clear waters and sunbathe. On this strip of sand you can see the contrast between the calm sea on one side and the crashing of the waves on the other side. Take your time to enjoy the colours, the shades of the blue and the crystal clear water. This is a place you will not forget.
We leave in the morning driving to Stone Town where we set sail in a dhow, a local typical boat. In 20 minutes we reach the Prison Island which was originally used by the Arabs for the slave trade. Under British rule later on a prison was built on the island but never actually used. There you can admire the spectacular giant tortoises and the prison itself.
Warm Indian Ocean waters are perfect for swimming and diving. You can see a stunning array of fish and other undersea wonders to be encountered around the island. The crystal blue sea offers unsurpassed visibility for diving enthusiasts. More than 430 species of fish can be seen around the coral reefs.
Bicycle Tour – Rent a Bike
